You can never solve a problem on the level on which it was created.
The main problem with writing in verse is, if your fourth line doesn’t come out right, you’ve got to throw four lines away and figure out a whole new way to attack the problem. So the mortality rate is terrific.
But that was the problem with having the answers. It was only after you gave them that you realized they sometimes weren’t what people wanted to hear.
If someone thinks that peace and love are just a cliche that must have been left behind in the 60s, that’s a problem. Peace and love are eternal.
